The vat frame can be reused with different resins, however membranes must be dedicated to one type of material. They must be switched out when changing to a different resin.
Remove the Build Plate and Resin Cartridge before removing the Resin Vat to prevent dripping resin onto the printer's LCD.
Steps to change the material using the same vat:
Remove the build plate
Lift the resin cartridge out of the printer.
Remove the vat:
Unlock the vat by going to the Printer Dashboard on the touchscreen and toggling the vat to Disengaged.
Lift the vat and take it out of the printer.
Insert the funnel into the 1 kg resin cartridge or 5 kg resin jug and place a 190um paint filter (included in finish kit) inside the cone of the funnel.
Pour excess resin from Resin Vat back into the cartridge to save for future prints. Use the plastic spatula from the toolkit to squeegee resin away from the membrane onto the container.
Once done emptying the resin vat. Remove the funnel and filter and cap the resin container..
Store membrane in a bag inside a dark box for future use with the same resin.
Clean your vat with a paper towel and IPA.
Install a new membrane frame and resin spout onto the vat. (using the steps from Installing the XiP Pro Resin Vat article)
Install the resin vat into the printer (over the LCD screen), pour in 1.5L of resin, install the new resin cartridge to maintain resin level.
