System Requirements
Minimum Recommended Requirements:
- RAM: 8 GB (>32GB preferred)
- OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon R9 Fury or better
- Free Disk Space: 30 GB
Download and Install NexaX 3.0
- Download NexaX
- Double click the .exe file in your download location to start installation
- If asked, select to install as administrator.
- NexaX Basic for XiP is the level of functionality available until a valid license is added.
Sign In / Create an Account
If you already have an account for support.nexa3d.com, you can use the same credentials to sign into NexaX. Signing in is not mandatory, but does allow the user to remotely access data from XiP and XiP Pro printers that are linked to the account and connected to the cloud. Click on "Sign in to your account" to sign in or sign up.
When signing in for the first time using credentials created for our support site, you may be requested to authorize NexaX. Select Accept. If you are using Google or another SSO option, you must use that for all applications sharing your credential in the future (NexaX, support.nexa3d.com, etc).
NexaX Licensing (for Pro feature access)
Select the Settings icon (gear) on the upper right of the screen and navigate to Subscriptions > Activate License. A license is required to unlock NexaX Pro features, including file preparation for NXE/NXD and XiP Pro. There is a second license in case the DentFlow module is purchased. Licenses are typically valid for 1 year and must be renewed.
Select the product you will activate, then add the license key (key must include the "-" characters and not include extra spaces). You can find the license key on the Item Fulfillment record (packing slip) emailed to the purchaser, or from the reseller.
You must be connected to the internet to activate instantly. If your PC cannot be connected to the internet, you can follow the Offline Activation process.
Confirm Your Save-To Directory
From the Settings > General window, set or confirm the default save-to directory path.
Note, you can save both scenes (.nxs) which allow editing of orientations and supports and print files (.nxa) which are build data and instructions for the printer. When saving a "Job", a folder will be created in the specified save directory, which will include the .nxa file as well as a data folder with the .nxs and some other data.
For fastest processing, chose a location for the save directory on your local drive, then transfer by USB or network to the printer.
Update to latest NXP print parameters
If your PC is internet connected, you may see "Update NXP" button under Job Settings. This means your settings are out of date. Press the button to update to the latest settings (.nxp file).
If offline, you can download a .nxp file separately from the download site and import them using the "Import NXP" button.
Enable Graphics GPU Acceleration (recommended)
PCs with dedicated graphics cards may default to using the integrated card. This will slow down NexaX so it is best to configure your system to use the graphics card when using NexaX. For example, you can follow these steps for an NVIDIA card.
-
Open NVIDIA Control Panel App on the Windows PC or Laptop
-
Click on Manage 3D Settings
-
Switch from Global Settings to Program Settings
-
Click on Add next to the program select dropdown
-
Select NexaX 2.0 from the list
-
Select 'High-performance NVIDIA processor' from the second dropdown
Troubleshooting
You may need to whitelist these IP to allow connecting to our auto-update and licensing server (optional):
52.223.22.71
35.71.188.31
-
https://api.cryptlex.com:443
If you cannot discover or connect to printers from NexaX, you may need to whitelist these ports for NexaX on your network: 33459 and 33444, and also TCP and UDP port 3702, 5355, and 5353. Enable UPnP and mDNS functionality on the network.
If no printers are available to select after starting NexaX even after importing the latest profiles, or if NexaX is crashing or slow to generate supports or slice files, there may be a problem with the installation. You may need to do the following:
Uninstall NexaX, then rename (add ".old" to the end of the name) or delete these directories:
- C:/Users/<your user profile>/.Nexa3D
- C:/Users/<your user profile>/AppData/Local/nexax-updater
- C:/Users/<your user profile>/AppData/Roaming/nexax
Reinstall NexaX
